Combat helmets and their areas of application

Combat helmets originated in the military and provide reliable head protection for our soldiers on the front lines. Military helmets are mostly made of steel or aramid and are part of the basic equipment of every military.

Combat helmets are characterized by their relatively low weight while offering a high level of comfort and protection. For reliable protection of armed forces in action, no compromises are made with military helmets: combat helmets meet the highest safety standards and undergo rigorous testing, which they must pass with flying colors to be used by our armed forces.

The military helmets in our range provide reliable protection and are partly made of robust ABS plastic or other proven materials, which are particularly popular in airsoft or paintball and reliably fulfill their purpose there.

But we also have a selection of combat helmets for our collectors. Our range includes numerous detailed replicas of the originals from various national and international armies. Besides the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), these include helmets from the US Army, as well as those from the Russian and British armies.

Ballistic military helmets for protection in everyday service

To prevent serious, long-term head injuries, combat helmets are an extremely important part of a soldier's basic equipment. Military helmets must not only protect the head from direct gunshot wounds, but also from shrapnel and fragments caused by pressure waves or nearby explosions.

Ballistic combat helmets offer optimal protection in the harsh realities of daily service and provide the best possible protection against serious, sometimes fatal, head injuries. Furthermore, military helmets are designed to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer: they are typically characterized by an ergonomically shaped helmet shell and are lightweight.

Versions of different combat helmets

A so-called FAST helmet is worn by numerous special forces units of the military and police. FAST stands for "Future Assault Shell Technology": these are armored military helmets characterized by their exceptionally light weight. Furthermore, high-molecular-weight polyethylene fibers are often used in the manufacture of these combat helmets. FAST military helmets are considered standard equipment by the Norwegian army, for example, providing optimal head protection for its soldiers. Another characteristic feature of these helmets is their raised cut above the ears. This allows for better integration of communication devices such as headsets.

Another type of combat helmet is the PASGT helmet: Personal Armor System for Ground Troops. These helmets are primarily made from aramid fibers, providing the highest level of ballistic protection against shrapnel and other projectiles. PASGT military helmets are compatible with night vision devices, gas masks, and communication systems.

MICH combat helmets, also known as "Modular Integrated Communications Helmets," are used by the US military, for example. These military helmets are particularly suitable for infantry operations and are highly valued by users for their excellent field of vision. Various communication devices can also be integrated into MICH combat helmets.
