In contrast, our casual shoes or sneakers generally offer no protection against moisture and should therefore primarily be worn on dry days.

The socks you wear with your performance shoes are a crucial factor in your walking comfort. The padding in the ball of the foot and heel not only cushions every movement but also prevents painful blisters from forming in your casual shoes. The right socks, combined with your comfortable performance shoes, therefore provide excellent wearing comfort and optimal walking comfort on all your hikes.

When trying on your new casual shoes, make sure they allow sufficient freedom of movement at both the heels and toes. Since your feet tend to slide forward when walking downhill, for example, we recommend about 10-15 mm of space in everyday and casual shoes. If, on the other hand, you're buying functional shoes for sports or hiking, our rule of thumb is that you should have between 15 and 20 millimeters of space in your new footwear.
