Tasmanian Tiger was launched in 1999 as a tactical product line by Tatonka GmbH (formerly Mountain Sport GmbH). The idea: to develop equipment for the highest demands, satisfying both professional users and outdoor enthusiasts.

Since then, the brand has continuously evolved and today offers a wide portfolio of tactical backpacks, vests, carrying systems and accessories.

Brand milestones:

• 1980: Founding of Mountain Sport GmbH

• 1989: Construction of the first production facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

• 1994: Mountain Sport GmbH renamed TATONKA GmbH
