Disposal

Information according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)

In our shop, we offer electrical and electronic devices that fall under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). When these devices become waste, they are referred to as "waste equipment." The proper disposal of this waste equipment is important to us.

The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that old electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must be collected separately from unsorted household waste at the end of its life. Used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed within the WEEE must be removed before disposal. Owners of WEEE from private households can dispose of it at collection points operated by public waste management authorities or at take-back points established by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). WEEE does not belong in household waste! You can find an online directory of collection and take-back points here .

This ensures that old devices are recycled professionally and that negative impacts on the environment are avoided.

We are a member of the "take-e-back" take-back system; our WEEE registration number is DE 65010510. You can find more information at [link to further information]. www.take-e-back.de

Information according to the Battery Act (BattG)

In our shop we offer batteries and rechargeable batteries that are subject to the German Battery Act (BattG). The proper disposal of used batteries is important to us.

Used batteries can contain pollutants that can harm the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled.

Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out trash can and the chemical symbol (Cd/Cadmium, Hg/Mercury or Pb/Lead) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing hazardous substances.

As a consumer, you are legally obligated to dispose of used batteries properly. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited according to the German Battery Act (BattG). You can return used batteries and rechargeable batteries free of charge to a municipal collection point or to local retailers.
Of course, you can return the batteries you purchased from us to one of our branches after use, or discharge them and send them back to us by post with sufficient postage.
