Field blouses are part of the basic equipment of soldiers and are often referred to as combat shirts. They are characterized by many practical features that are specifically tailored to the requirements of the service. Field blouses are often equipped with one or more hook-and-loop areas where name tags, patches, or rank badges can be attached. Furthermore, numerous pockets are a characteristic feature of combat shirts. Here, the gear necessary for service can be stored and carried permanently. Usually, the classic field blouses are equipped with two chest pockets and one upper arm pocket. Because the equipment can be stored in many pockets directly on the body, the necessary gear is always with the soldier and within easy reach. For this reason, combat shirts are becoming increasingly popular for everyday tasks. Whether in the garden or in the workshop - field blouses convince in terms of functionality and are therefore also worn in everyday life. Last but not least, the materials used are particularly robust and durable. This is an important prerequisite for the basic equipment of all military personnel in service. But also in terms of wearing comfort, field blouses leave nothing to be desired: combat shirts are usually intentionally cut slightly wider to ensure maximum freedom of movement for the wearer in all activities. In addition, the lightweight materials feel pleasant on the skin and are cut so that no pressure points are created by seams. Many field blouses are made of materials that are odor-reducing and climate-regulating, allowing combat shirts to be worn comfortably for several days and thus during longer missions. To provide the wearer with additional protection, combat shirts are often equipped with material reinforcements on the arms and made of flame-retardant fabrics. Finally, field blouses often use materials that are both cut- and abrasion-resistant, further enhancing the comfortable wearing properties of the Bundeswehr pants with additional protective properties useful for service. Some models even forego hard metal or plastic parts so that they do not cause secondary injuries when worn under a protective vest during gunfire. All in all, field blouses and combat shirts are true all-rounders: they find application as functional clothing in many areas and facilitate the performance of various activities both in service and in everyday life.
